CINCH TransFORM Colorado 2023
Are you ready to take on a new and unique cycling experience this Summer? We are bringing our CINCH A game to our backyard in Boulder, Colorado, for six incredible days of riding this July. Join us for an educational and transformational camp that will change your cycling by taking your nutrition and cycling climbing to new heights.
TransFORM Boulder camp is all about learning and helping you better understand the world of sports nutrition both on and off the bike. Our nutrition gurus’s Kourtney and Travis will introduce and teach you how to implement our 3-Sigma Nutrition Protocol that makes figuring out your nutrition a CINCH.
We will also take advantage of Boulder's varied terrain to dial in our climbing technique and ability. Coach Tom Danielson, the climbing expert, and Climbing coach Travis Lechner will work with each person individually on climbing technique, body position, pacing, and training strategies.
All the while enjoying riding new roads, meeting new people, and eating new foods, all in the beautiful Colorado sun. To make the experience fun and comfortable, we will split the group by objective and ability each day. Each day riders will be provided with two different distance options. Athletes may choose to join different groups and goals based on their interests as well as how they are feeling.
But the learning doesn't stop there, post-ride athletes will be treated to an educational and tasty eating experience with meals prepared by Travis, whose extensive knowledge of nutrition and background in fine dining hospitality is sure to make for a delicious and memorable off-the-bike experience.
Riders are welcome to participate hands-on with the dinner preparations, or if you prefer, just enjoy the finished product; either way, you will leave with a binder of 3 Sigma Nutrition recipes that taste great and also fuel your body well.
Our objective for you to leave after an incredible week ready to rock and roll and build off of what you learned at camp at home.

Day 1 - Ride up Chapman (July 25th)
This ride will include the popular local climbs of Poorman, and Chapman - a local favorite closed to car traffic. We will kick off the first training ride of the camp by working on climbing technique! We will keep the intensity moderate to let the group ease into the camp and concentrate on specific climbing concepts. You will leave this day a better climber ready to take on the local terrain the rest of the week. At night we will begin our discussion around Nutrition and go over the core concepts of 3 sigma nutrition and start to break down some nutrition basics.
Day 2 - Ride Flagstaff and Sunshine (July 26th)
This ride will include the popular Flagstaff Mountain. It is widely considered the “Alp d'Huez” of Boulder iconic climb in the Boulder area. It starts right out of town and is a very popular and spectacular ride, with many twists and turns, steep sections and easier sections, and amazing views of Boulder and the University as you come down. Here we will work on one of the most crucial concepts to fast climbing: “Surfing The Terrain.”
We then ride over to the nearby Sunshine Canyon, one of Boulder's Steepest climbs to dial in our standing technique.
Day 3 - Ride to Gold Hill (July 27th)
This ride will include the popular local climbs of Old Stage and Lee Hill as well as a challenging dirt ascent up to Gold Hill, a hidden gem tucked in the mountains. Today's focus will be threshold work. On the climbs we will divide into smaller groups and have a fun climbing scenario. The route home will allow us to work on some descending as we cruise back to town. Today we will focus on the final 3 sigma topic of nutrition timing!
Day 4 - Ride to Marshall Mesa and Old Town Louisville (July 28th)
A super fun "recovery" ride! A chill day with lots of paths and exploring. We will work on the CINCH classics tool "surfing the terrain" along the rollercoaster of a route that includes some single track as well as local dirt. Rumor has it there will be an ever elusive Cinch approved coffee stop!? What the what!? This route is full of fun terrain to work on technique and get the legs going again, as we fuel up for the final big day ahead. Today's nutrition focus will be understanding the difference in big training days and events vs. our average ride and solidifying our overall understanding.

Get ready for the camp's longest day where we will focus on endurance and fueling. The ride will start right out of the gate with a long climb up to the town of Ward, as we make our way on to the Peak to Peak highway before reaching Nederland and descending back to Boulder.
