Does Slow and Steady Win The Race?

Does Slow and Steady Win The Race?

Aesop’s fable was about the Tortoise and the Hare. The Hare was arrogant and overly confident. While the Tortoise was determined, focused working at a steady pace. The hare took a break, he was confident a short nap wouldn’t affect him. The tortoise was consistent with his process and moved on ahead of the hare. When the Hare woke up he realized he was left behind, the race was over.

Much like the tortoise, it’s these few components that create a real path to success. Paying attention to details, following through, always being ready and practicing patience.

focus your energy on what you want and not on what others are achieving. These are the marks of a winner. Be the tortoise and just keep going no matter what.

This is how you would apply it to your training.

Slow is being patient through the process of transformation.

Steady is being consistent in actions.

When you see others flash by in a hurry for instant acclaim, know that you’re in it for the long haul.

Everywhere we look there are promises of quick fixes like fad diets, Rapid body transformations, and FTP tests.

We expect instant results but what ends up happening we get discouraged, and immediately quit.

The truth is lasting change doesn’t happen overnight, I can attest to that. When I became a Cinch client I learned that consistency is key. Having the Tortoise Mindset—- Growth Mindset (Embrace challenges, be resilient, continuously learning and to work hard).

I can promise you that being consistent in your daily process will not only help you reach missions objective but your transformation will be long-lasting.

'Consistency develops routines and builds momentum. It forms habits that become almost second nature. No matter how grand your goals are, you will never taste victory if you are not ready to apply a high level of consistency’.

What if you decided right now to drop the quick-fix mentality of the Hare and instead adopt the mindset of the Tortoise?

What if, instead of obsessing over (and very likely getting discouraged by) the short-term results, you focused on just taking the next tiny step in the right direction?

With the right mindset, this will make you unstoppable!

Build a system

Take your time

Appreciate the process
