Healthy Chocolate Mousse

This time of year can wreak havoc on your diet. From office treats to boozy Christmas parties to cheese boards galore, it can be hard to find and the elusive "moderation" that so many speak of. I suggest first creating a training plan or finding some form of movement you can maintain this time of year. Second, I recommend finding the healthiest version of whatever you are craving. For example, this Avocado Chocolate Mousse is the ultimate healthy dessert. A healthier take on chocolate mousse is wholesome enough to be eaten any time of day and packed full of healthy fats to keep you satisfied for hours. 

 

INGREDIENTS:

 2 large ripe avocados 

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup full-fat coconut cream

1/2 cup stevia or preferred powdered sweetener

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp cinnamon

pinch of nutmeg

pinch of sea salt

*Optional toppings: Cherries, berries, coconut whipped cream, and grated chocolate

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Put all ingredients in a food processor to blend. Blend until ingredients are smooth throughout. Scoop into four small bowls and serve! 

You can store the pudding your refrigerator for a few days. You can also freeze it in an ice cube tray. When you're ready to eat it, throw your chocolate cubes into a blender, it will have more of an ice cream texture.
